This is more along the lines of what Desperado should have been. This is a thoroughly enjoyable film in which Antonio Banderas returs as El Mariachi. Johnny Depp is absolutely fantastic as the sneaky agent who plays for all sides. Filled with spectacular action and some interesting twists, this film is simply amazing compared to its predecessor. It's still not first-rate artistic filmmaking, but it is still fun to watch.
Rated R for strong violence and for language.
