TIM BURTON'S
CORPSE BRIDE
2005 **1/2 77 mins.
Yawn.
This film is little more than Tim Burton being Tim Burton. It seems like he's trying to outdo The Nightmare Before Christmas and failing miserably. Granted, this film does have some good qualities, but the songs are annoying and the animation/claymation is just tiresome. The whole film is tiresome. This is about a young man who mistakenly marries (shocker!!) a corpse and discovers some truths about the Land of the Dead. A twisted romance that will probably fade from memory.
Rated PG for Some Scary Images and Action and Brief Mild Language.
