The Dark Mistress is still up to no good, and has helped an Andorian take control of a Federtaion colony away from populated space. She has also run into some new developments. It appears that she is a partially trained member of an ancient - yet hidden - order of telepaths, and she has yet to complete her training. A tutor met her on Ourcos VIII, the couped planet, and wishes to continue her telepathic instruction. However, the Vulcan tutor, T'nara, and The Mistress are on opposite sides of the order. T'nara is an adept of Olsha'Maln, the good, and the Mistress is a student of Olsha'Tayn, the evil. Whether the two can get along long enough for The Mistress to learn more is unknown, but she plans on gaining the knowledge.
Ker'th and Johk have joined together in an unofficial pact where she will purchase any information from him and protect his interests, as long as he sells her the information untainted.
Sebac and his wife have fled the station in a cloaked ship, and the Romulans were unable to pursue them. In the blast that killed Malkris and Zem, the remaining survivors of Dann's family were killed. The Morian has lost his entire familty in the past few days and has joined with Johk to get vengance on their murderers.

The Dark Mistress, however, is continuing on her smuggling mission. After rendevousing with more equipment and ships, she headed to the destination of her convoy. En route, however, they stumbled across a Federation patrol ship under attack by a pirate force. In an uncharacteristic act of charity, she diverted her three runabout from the convoy and went to the rescue of the patrol craft, and destroyed the attacking vessel. Then she melted away, leaving the commander of the Starfleet vessel with nothing but questions.
New developements have arisen with the station itself. When the Dominion attacked last, the station was sabotaged by an explosion in the communications center. In the explosian, a comtech named Pete Sinclair was killed. It has now been revealed that he, if fact, did not die, but was instead a member of a JAG investigation. Commander Hamner of the Avenger is spending his shoreleave helping in the covert investigation. In addition, Rear Admiral Hamner, Commander Hamner's father, is visiting the station as a vacation of sorts, officially.

Colonel Ker'th has been returned by The Dark Mistress after her kidnapping. The motive for the kidnapping appears to be blackmail. Ker'th had captured the majority of the Mistress' forces in an attempt to coerce her into helping the Tal Shiar prevent Malkris' assassination. Rather than cooperating, however, The Dark Mistress instead chose to retaliate. She used telepathy to sneak into Ker'th's quarters and spirit her away in the middle of the night. She took her captive into cardassian space and preformed a personality correction on Ker'th.
On a family outing, Dann, another shopkeeper on the station, was unfortunate enough to stumble across the Mistress' ship in the Gleaming Sunshine. The Dark Mistress reacted by clothing her ship in warp field of a Ferengi Marauder and attacking.
Regrettably, Dann's son, Jok, perished in the attack.
Ker'th was returned after the incident convinced that she had been kidnapped by Klingon pirates. The Mistress' chief leiutenant, Chinkin, had decided to leave her organization. He had come to Major Verlath, Ker'th's first officer, and explained the Mistrss' part in Ker'th kidnapping. Verlath didn't take him seriously. Chinkin is now on the run, hoping to not be found by the Mistress, as she will surely kill him for his betrayal.
Johk, in the meantime, has begun a little investigating of his own. Angered by the death of his friend's (Dann) son, Johk contacted an aquantance with the Ferengi Alliance to learn whether or not a Ferengi Marauder might have been resonsible. The reply was a laugh in the face, as the Ferengi are not stupid enough to violate the Dominions territory. Johk is now convinced that the attack on Dann's ship was not the act of a rouge ferengi DaiMon, but of something else entirely. But what he doesn't know.
Using the freedom her manipulation of Ker'th got for her, The Dark Mistress is once again using her ships to smuggle. She has headed into Romulan space to pick up a shipment for an andorian attempting a coup in the federation. She is as of yet unaware of Chinkin's betrayal, but she was forced to leave him behind when she left because he never answered his summons.
