Poetry From the Heart Pg. 3

TO NOT LOVE

It is easier when you are the one who no longer loves.
It is a smoother ride for you.

Your pain is quick to go away.
Your heart can freely let go.

No more feelings cross through your mind.
No more hands do you want to hold.

No more kisses do you want to feel.
No more hugs that wrap you tight.

Building on love will not happen.
Building a life together will be no more.

Sharing a life is forgotten.
Sharing our hopes and dreams is now gone.

It is easier for the one who no longer loves with their heart.
It is harder for the person who still loves with all their heart.

CHANGING

When I meet someone I see them.
I see them for who they are inside.
If we get along, laugh, and we can talk.
I can like that person for who they are.

Not all people can do this in our world.
They become our friends and lovers and then see things they don't like.
They tell us that things need to be changed to make us better people.
What was wrong with the person that they liked or fell in love with before?

They repeatedly tell us all our faults.
It sounds so much like hate.
Makes you wonder why they even liked or loved you in the first place.
Don't they understand that they make you feel not cared about at all.

All they do is cast a stone.
They say they are not judging us when they tell us what we need to change.
Telling us to change what they believe not to be right is judging.
If they were not judging us it would not matter what they think we have to change.

God forgive me if you see me as not being perfect.
Anyone find me one perfect person on this earth that has no faults.
I will not believe that person is perfect or faultless.
No such person walks this earth anymore.
