2003 Titans

5/17/03 - TJ Inv.
Three games today. First game 8am against Riverside. Riverside wins in a shoot out 1-0.

At 10:30 we have only one thing to do, win or go home. They decided they didn't like the feeling from the first game, and we didn't want to lose to St. Alberts twice. We played like we wanted it. It was a much better game and it was one that was one that was fun to watch. We started the scoring by scoring with 17 minutes left in the first half. Seth Jackson sends the ball down the middle and Josh Grosvenor is there to be one on one with the keeper. Josh wins and puts it away. In the second half Jesse Smith takes a free kick and Luke Thomsen is ready, receives the ball, turns and puts it away. We played a great game and it makes you wonder where we were in the first game. Doug Junior played the game of his life and was everywhere in this game and every game today. If there game ball to give away today it would be to Doug. Great job. We win 2-0 and now we wait to see what St. Alberts does in the next game to see what we do next. They win by 4 and we play in the consolation game, anthing less and we play in the Championship game. St. Alberts win's 2-0 and we advance to the Championship game.

Here we go, TJ and us, a chance to accomplish our goal for the day, to win and be city champs. We score first in the first half as Jesse Smith hits Pat Powers on the left side. Pat hammers it home and we go up. 1-0 at the half. They manage to tie it up in the second half and we can't put another one away. We had our chances again but just can't finish. The game to OT, no one can finish it and once again it's a shoot out. They win it in the shoot out and the day is done. We will see TJ again on Tuesday at the end of the game TJ's keeper left some parting words for LC. We see if we can take care of business on Tuesday.
