| There really is more to life than just work - no matter how much you enjoy your job! Leigh believes that one should always live life wholistically, which is why he always tries to make time for community-building endeavours. The Boys' Brigade in Malaysia The Boys' Brigade is the oldest uniformed youth organization in the world and is committed to holistic youth development. Through the framework of uniform, awards, drill and physical activity, the Boys' Brigade aims to inculcate discipline, self-respect, leadership, teamwork and to develop a strong, character in young people. The Boys' Brigade strongly believes that these are essential traits young people should develop to prepare them for the challenges in their adult lives. As an Officer, Leigh is responsible for providing oversight and leadership for the organization and its members. He also provides educational and leadership training at the local, state and national levels to Members. Meanwhile, he also contributes and edits articles on lifestyle and leadership on various print and web publications. Currently, he also chairs the National Extension Committee - which essentially is the organization's marketing arm. Leigh has been active in the Boys' Brigade since 1991. |
