About Me

I am a 17-year-old Tolkien fanatic from Minnesota. This site began as (and is primarily) a dolling site with contests and such, but has also expanded into my personal site displaying my progress on Lord of the Rings costuming, my artwork, my blog, and a fantasy book I'm writing. Feel free to comment in the shoutbox on anything you see on the site!

Let's see... a little more about me. I love to sing and am part of the top chamber ensemble at my high school, as well as the concert choir and praise team at church. I also love to read - most of the material I cover is fantasy. A few of my favorite series are Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Wheel of Time, and I've recently fallen in love with A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. A few of my favorite movies include Lord of the Rings (duh), Pirates of the Caribbean, Finding Neverland, Star Wars, and Peter Pan. I am also a huge fan of Johnny Depp (brilliant man).

Dolling is a more recent hobby that I've picked up, and I've been doing it for under a year. I don't have tons of dolls up, because I really only create them when I get inspiration... so each comes from the heart. I'm still picking up tricks of the trade, and I think I'm slowly improving. Another more recent hobby of mine is costuming (mainly from the Lord of the Rings films). I love drawing costume/clothing designs... if only I had the sewing skills to match!
