What is Quilting?

Quilting is joining together two piece of fabric with batting between the two layers.  Quilting is important all over the world and many types of fabrics are used for quilting.   Quilt is used to tell story about family, community, nation, and  history of people of a particular culture.  Some quilts record an event, portray a story or can be seen as realistic portrayals of important events or patterns of design symbolic of nature or human identity. Some quilts can be seen as the autobiography of someone’s life.
