Elemental: Sylphs, Zephyr, Faeries of flowers, Sirens, Centaurs etc.

Sylphs: Givers of wishes, knowledge, and dreams. The rulers of the weather. Envisioned as "fairies" or white light. Delicate beings with beautiful wings. In Size and appearance the Sylphs can resemble humans. They are kindly disposed towards humans. Protectors of magical applications. Sylphs can cleanse and clarify, freeing the mind of its cobwebs.

Zephyr: A mild, gentle breeze flowing over the hills and through the leaves, bringing the scents of the seasons to humans.

Faeries: (Sylphs) Tiny ethereal human-like beings with gossamer wings, or flits of light, that have been sometimes associated with earth elementals but are air sprits, who look after certain plants, wind and breezes. If you feel a breeze caress your face it just might be a faerie in disguise.

Sirens: Thought to be bird-maidens. Air elementals who later became sea nymphs. The Sirens, were daughters of one of the Muses, but it is also told that the Sirens competed with the Muses in singing and, having lost, the Muses plucked out the Sirens feathers and made, out of them, crowns for themselves.

Harpies: Originally thought of as winged goddesses with beautiful hair. Later on they appear as awful monsters and spirits of mischief half-birds, half-maid. Wind spirits, the Harpies' inital role is to carry to Hades the souls of the dead. The harpies are born from Typhon and Echinda. There are four Harpies: Aello (meaning rain-squall), Celaeno (storm-dark), Okypete (swift-flying), and Podarge (swift-foot). In later myths the Harpies are featured as winged monsters with pale female human faces with long hair and claws made of brass. Although invulnerable, they always look hungry and withered. Everything that they touch immediately becomes contaminated with an awful stench. They were afraid of only one thing: the sound of a brass instrument.

Centaurs: Offspring of Ixion and a cloud, were man-horse creatures. They came to symbolize the dark unruly forces of nature.

Storm Giants: These Giants personified the vast storm clouds.

Frost Giants: Icy terrors who sent freezing blasts to nip the buds of spring or shook avalanches from their shoulders or brows.

Angels: Winged human like beings, clearly they are Air elementals, that have morphed into heavenly bodies.

Cherubs: Also winged child like beings related to Angels, they are always causing mischief, and havoc for mankind.

The Air Spirits don't appreciate pollution of their sphere by smoke and gases that affect the atmosphere. You could call on the help of the Air Spirits for problems where you need to feel sharp. Naturally you will feel closest to the Sprits of the Air, if you can climb up to the top of a hill, where the air is fresh. Breathe deeply and call on these ethereal beings.
