( F )  HELL BELOW / PART 2

Moreover, other Old Testament scriptures confirm the written passages of the above New Testament scriptures in regard to what and where hell is.  Its direction and locale and its environment.  Scripture writes this about hell;

22.
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.  -  Deut. 32:22

8.  It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do?
deeper than hell; what canst thou know?  -  Job 11:8

15.  Let death seize upon them, and let them
go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.  -  Psalms 55:15

13.  For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the
lowest hell. -  Psalms 86:13

7.  Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8.
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.  -  Psalms 139:7-8

5.  Her feet go
down to death; her steps take hold on hell.  -  Prov. 5:5

27.  Her house is
the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. -  Prov. 7:27

24.
The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
-  Prov. 15:24

16.  I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when
I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
17.  They also
went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.  -  Ezek. 31:16-17

22.  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be
in danger of hell fire. -  Matt. 5:22

The scriptures sufficiently help to show the environmental and locale evidences which clearly describe hell and thus help differentiate between hell and paradise.  Consequently, providing proof that those two places could never be part of one another.  The above scripture passages clearly write of a horrible fiery hell into which the person descends and not a heavenly paradise of comfort into which the person ascends.   Notice the direction, location and environment when scripture speaks of hell including ( as Ezekiel writes about ) those who descend into the pit.   Whereas in such verses of scripture such as Psalms 139:8 we read that a person ascends into heaven. And in Proverbs 15:24 the way of life is above.

The sinful, wicked person
descends downward to hell. The chambers of death are in hell, a location that is low and deep in the heart of the earth.  Jesus speaks of the danger of hell fire.   A confirmation of this hell fire is written in Lukes gospel in the account of the rich man who is in hell and tormented by the flames there.  All of these scriptures, along with a review of Luke 16:20-26, provide a clear picture that hell and paradise are not one and the same place, locale or environment.   Moreover, no where in the above OT scriptures is there any mention or hint of Abrahams bosom being an area which took up space in hell.   Proverbs 7:27 writes of the chambers of death.   Paradise in no manner fits the description of being a chamber of death.  But rather as the following scriptures in section G will clearly reveal, paradise is where life dwells.
