| Oct 25, '04 Well, my very nice host family from Japan sent me a package of some manga, candy, and One Piece stickers. One Piece, my favorite anime! The stickers were so awesome, I scanned them, and decided to put them on the site as cool pictures for all you One Piece fans. My next task to find a We Are! or Believe MIDI. Man, I love both those songs. Hm? My favorite One Piece character? The show is so good, I love em all! But I guess I'd pick Luffy. He 's a lot like me... hehe. Special thanks to my host family. | What is One Piece? One Piece is an anime and manga that originiated in Japan about pirates. The basic concept is that a young boy, Monkey D. Luffy, who looks up to a group of pirates becomes a pirate and goes looking for a crew, going on weird adventures and beating up bad pirates along the way. Sounds dumb at first glance right? The answer to that question doesnt matter. One Piece is one of the Ultimate examples that YOU CANNOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. The One Piece manga is one of the most popular manga in Japan, and the TV show is almost as popular. One Piece is a great anime, it is packed with humor, silly battles, sadness, anger, revenge, etc etc. It looks silly, and has its silly comical moments. But One Piece is also a serious, heart wrenching story. You'd never guess it, but all of Luffy's cheerful looking crew have suffered many difficulties and sadness in their pasts. Where to Find One Piece One Piece is VERY slowly making its way into the US. The first couple graphic novels of the manga are out already. One Piece is also airing on Fox Box in the US... though heavily edited for the young audience I'm afraid... Of course... you can look online too... there are fansubbed Japanese One Piece anime episodes and manga out there... |
