The next issue of “Tails to Astonish” shows Captain Super Fox-Man the Mutant Cyborg Clone finding out about Robotnik's supply blimp heading toward Downunda.  The hero defeated the swatbots, defeated Octobot (first introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble special), and met the Forty Fathoms Freedom Fighters.  The freedom fighters consist of Ray, Bivalve, P.B. Jellyfish, Bottlenose, and Fluke the Blue Whale.  Now the hero carries the whale to Downunda.

Tails realizes that his comic is not historically accurate, and Ray says that it is okay.  Tails apologizes to Ray for not giving him enough credit and recalls how he found out about Robotnik's plans while fighting Fiona (Sonic the Hedgehog #28 and #29).  He also recalls how the Forty Fathoms Freedom Fighters saved Tails from drowning.  Now Fluke is taking Tails to Downunda since the Sea Fox is wrecked.  Ray tells Tails to brace himself as Fluke breathes.  Fluke says that they're trying to help Tails with his mission.

Part 2

A shocked Tails sees Downunda for the first time.  Fluke says that the water is too shallow, so Tails says goodbye to Fluke and Ray and flies to the shore.

Crocbot sees an intruder and knows that nothing will interfere with the supply blimp.  Robotnik reminds Crocbot that the blimp will help the robot conquer the area, and Crocbot agrees.  Crocbot then thinks to itself that in addition to the plan, Robotnik will be overthrown.  Crocbot tells Robotnik that the Wing Dingoes will take out the intruder.

Tails charges forward but a Wing Dingo hits him.  Tails dodges some of the Wing Dingoes, but soon he is overcome by them.  One Wing Dingo bites one of Tails' tails so he cannot fly.  Tails hits the ground, surrounded by Wing Dingoes.  Suddenly the Downunda Freedom Fighters appear and fight the Wing Dingoes.  Guru Emu tries to peacefully solve the situation, but Wombat Stu says it's hopeless.  Barby Koala and Duck "Bill" destroy some Wing Dingoes as some begin to fly away.  Walt Wallabee, the leader, tries to talk to Tails.  Tails becomes unconscious, and the Alpha Wing Dingo picks up Wombat Stu.  Walt orders Guru, Barby, and Duck "Bill" to follow the Wing Dingo while he takes Tails to safety.

Robotnik demands to know if the intruder was stopped, and Crocbot says that the Wing Dingoes took care of him.  Suddenly a beaten Wing Dingo shows up at the window.  Crocbot swats the monitor and talks to the Wing Dingo in private.  The Wing Dingo says that the freedom fighters stopped him.  Crocbot is furious, but suddenly Alpha Wing Dingo brings Wombat Stu.

Robotnik tries to get Crocbot back on the television, and suddenly Crocbot appears.  Crocbot says he has an intruder who is strapped to the "torture rack."  Robotnik asks if Crocbot is ready for the blimp and then removes the invisibility shield.  Robotnik then signs off, saying that he has things to take care of in Robotropolis.  Crocbot checks to see if anybody is coming to rescue Wombat Stu and finds some of the Downunda Freedom Fighters approaching.

Walt catches up to the other freedom fighters and gasps at the size of the blimp.  Barby says it's heading toward Crocbot.  Walt explains that the fox told him the blimp had weapons inside.  The Downunda Freedom Fighters start running toward Crocbot's place as the robot watches on a monitor.  Crocbot explains that it will reprogram the swatbots and become powerful.  The robot turns to Wombat Stu.  The Downunda Freedom Fighters hear Wombat Stu scream and decide to abandon their attack plan.

Tails wakes up in a crater and hears a strange noise.  Still in pain, Tails makes his way to a passageway and sees some statues.  Above the statues lies the inscription "Ancient Walkers" (first shown in Sonic Triple Trouble).  A shadow approaches and says that Tails has much to learn.  Tails recognizes the silhouette and knows that it is Knuckles.  The echidna says he is not Knuckles, although he is related to him.  He asks if Tails is the chosen one and says his name is Athair.

To be continued.
