The Oath is a promise between Citizen & Sovereign, a vow to do the very best for TorHavn, the Earth (our Mother) and one another. Some people believe that we are taking this too seriously. We, of course, feel that it's about time someone did. Therefore, we shall promise, each to the other:I, AS YOUR SUBJECT, DO HEREBY SWEAR ...: ... and affirm, on my honour and the Sacred Viridian Crowns of TorHavn, that I am prepared to support & defend the Codex Rex & Laws of the Kingdom of TorHavn against all enemies, foreign & domestic; that I will bear true faith & allegiance to the same, that true honour may never be forgotten nor compromised; that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Rulers of TorHavn, both equally, and Their Heirs and Successors, who shall carefully administer the executive, judicial and legislative duties of the Kingdom, and that I will faithfully observe the Codex Rex and Laws of TorHavn, and fulfill my duties as a citizen of TorHavn should. And I also swear & affirm that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, to the best of my ability.WE, THE RULERS OF TORHAVN, BOTH EQUALLY, DO HEREBY SWEAR: ... and affirm, on Our Honour and the Sacred Viridian Crowns of TorHavn, that We are prepared to support & defend the Codex Rex & the Laws of TorHavn against all enemies, both foreign & domestic; that We shall bear true faith & allegiance to these Laws, so that true honour shall never be forgotten nor compromised. We, the Rulers of TorHavn, both equally, shall carefully administer the executive, judicial and legislative duties of the Kingdom, and We also shall faithfully observe the Codex Rex & Laws of TorHavn, fulfilling Our sacred obligations to the citizens of the Kingdom as We should. And We also swear & affirm, both equally, that We take these obligations without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, to the best of Our ability. |
