Name of new Office Bearers elected in the General Body Meeting on 11th May has been included.A bit of cleaning on links has also been done.

I have changed the looks, checked the links and did a little spring cleaning. I do not get the same time as when I started the site for the club. Things will improve I am sure. DKPNA website may be featured in Limca Book of Records 2003 as the First and Only Indian Philatelic Website to get the FIP TOP 5% AWARD. I have added an article on the Great Women of India.

DKPA website will henceforth be known as DKPNA, Dakshina Kannada Philatelic and Numismatic Association. All pages will be updated to reflect this. I have added a new article Fragrant Stamps. The postal address and the list of office bearers has changed.

UPDATED ! At last the DKPA website has been updated. I have completed the stamp calendar till April 2002. DKPA has changed its name, address and office bearers. This will soon appear so please be on the lookout. I apologize to the regular visitors of DKPA website for the delay in updating an excellent site!

Where were we all these days? DKPA was very much there but I was on "Paternity Leave". There was a new addition in the family. I have updated the stamp calendar. I will catch up with the other updates soon.

DKPA has completed One year of existence. It has been a great year for DKPA with awards in Karnapex 2000, Millepex 2000, Espana 2000 and Indepex Asiana 2000. This week we recommend the site Philatelic History of Radiology. It is amazing how stamps can be used as a medium for education. The welcome page has a new look again. Perhaps this will provide a better navigation. The First Day Cancellations of the year 2000 are on display. The stamp poll is in place and working. Please let us know which stamp you like best. The DAKAPA newsletter October-December 2000 is available for purchase. The news page has been updated. A new feature has been added FREE Classifieds. Yesterday was a great day marking a year long celebration among the Jains throughout the world. A stamp was released on the 2600th birth anniversary of Bhagvan Mahavir.

DKPA recommends the site "Bridges - Links to Aesthetics" this week. The front page has some new JavaScript features now. Move the cursor on the links and images. This unfortunately works with higher version of Internet Explorer and Netscape.

DKPA recommends the site "African American Philately" this week. Today DKPA is holding its general body meeting, a change of office bearers is foreseen. The main page has been modified with some interesting JavaScript. I have been working on an article "Indian National Congress Presidents". This has taken some time and I hope it is worth the effort. A new JavaScript game called "Pegs" has been added. This is available as a zip file in the download section. I have mechanized the stamp poll but it still has some problems. Hopefully the free polls site will suggest what is wrong.

DKPA recommends the site "Mathematical Stamp Collecting" this week. Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) has sent us the critique of the site evaluation. This is on display here. The stamps issued in the year 2000 can be viewed here.

The stamps issued in the month of January have been displayed. The dealer's page, society page have been updated. DKPA recommends the Australian Flora on Stamps this week. We had promised a stamp poll but polling 45 stamps, issued in 2000, using the free polls available on the Net has given us some problems. It will be coming to you soon. Please bear with us.

The news page has been updated. DKPA recommends Myggan's Philatelic page this week. The Indian Light Combat aircraft was featured on the 1999 stamp. This however was missed by a lot of people. DKPA presents a look at the LCA through the stamp.

India welcomes the New Year with the First Flight of the Light Combat Aircraft. DKPA congratulates the pilots, scientists and engineers involved in the project. I have not been able to update the site for the last 2 weeks being a part the project. Please bear with me.

DKPA recommends Design Errors on Stamps a site which has a heap of interesting stamps with one thing in common. All of them have a design error. DAKAPA wins the bronze medal in Indepex Asiana 2000. This and more in the news.

We are back again after a very long time. We were waiting for the site evaluation and this long pending change in the site looks has finally materialised. Please let us know if it is an improvement. The information presented on the site has been reviewed again. Some changes have been made. Links have been updated. A translation facility has been included. The site can be translated to French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and German courtesy Altavista. Shri Sudhir Jain's interesting article on Jainism and Philately is an addition.
