| No.10(V) Sqn is the main RAFv Air to Air refuelling unit. Operating 4 VC10 aircraft the Sqn helps to get RAFv Fast Jet aircraft to their destinations as quickly as possible. The secondary role of the Squadron is transport. The aircraft can be configured for different roles. 150 passengers can be accomodated in rear facing seats or the aircraft can hold a passenger/cargo mix or pure cargo. The aircraft are normally found in one of the many Air to Air refuelling areas in the skies surrounding the United Kingdom. Aside from refuelling the Fast Jets, the Sqn will practice refuelling their own aircraft as well as tanking Multi Engine aircraft. The Vickers VC10 - 4 aircraft are operated by the Squadron. |
