State your name, role applying for (i.e pilot, , fighter controller, air traffic controller), flying hours & preferred aircraft type (aircrew applicants only).  Please add any comments that will make you stand out from the rest of the applicants. Selection Proces
s
Once the form is sent the recuiting officer will look at each application, checking details such as previous experience & hours flown. From this we can make the right choices for aircrew.  Mainly, this is so that the RAFv Student to Instructor ratio does not become too high.

Roles (Aircrew)

Pilot - There are 30 pilot spaces in the
RAFv in  all types of aircraft.so Competition
for places is high.
Pilots fly a number of aircraft such as
Fighters, Bombers, Transport and
Refuelling Aircraft.

Air/Ground Roles
Fighter Controller - A New role for FS2002
will be used on E-3 Sentrys. Fighter
Controllers will first be recruited from
ATC controllers with Direct Entrants.

Air Traffic Controller - ATC Controllers
operate at all RAFv airfields when flying is
taking place. It is a rewarding role
especially  when there are 5+ aircraft in
