Yuji Hyakutake
Yuji Hyakutake may have been an Amateur Astronomer but he was a professional hobbyist. He discovered a rare comet which now bears his namesake.
After learning about this man he rekindled my appreciation of the stars. Furthermore I realised that I too can shine in this vast and lonely universe.

My Journal This is an excerpt of what I wrote in my journal on Saturday, March
22, 1997:
"...I could see a faint, cloudy haze that resembled a
distant star but with a long tail connecting to it. At least that is what
I saw when Comet Hyakutake was closest to the Earth...
I'm glad I
saw Hyakutake because it will return in the year 64, 996 AD!..."
