Golf Field
Trip
December
14, 2000
Dear
Families,
As the third term draws to a close, the Middle School
would like to practice the newly acquired golf skills
that they have learned on a "real" golf course.
The goal of this trip is to provide the kids with an opportunity
to utilize the golf tips that have been taught and practiced
each week and use them in a real game situation.
Students will be accompanied by adults and will play the
course and score their own game. The educational
objectives of this trip will be to reinforce their understanding
of golf etiquette, grip, stance, swing and follow through
and to know and utilize the appropriate clubs and shots
that they have practiced this term.
We are projecting that we travel to Pekanbaru on Thursday,
Dec. 14, 2000 with the students leaving at 7:30 a.m. and
returning to GAIS at 3:30 p.m. but we may be delayed.
If we return later than 5:00 p.m., we will notify Pak
Bruce about any changes in our plans. The students
will travel in three vehicles with drivers and will be
chaperoned by Bernadette, Helen Brewis and Bettywyn Chapman.
Students will need the following to be able to participate
in this upcoming trip:
- Signed
and completed permission slip
- Rp
60,000 for Greens fees and caddies (unused rupiah will
be returned
- Morning
snack, juice, lunch and bottled water

own, extra clubs and the golf gloves will be brought
by Bernadette)
