On our last day in Ireland,
we again headed for the coast - I mean, with views and scenery like this,
why wouldn't you? We drove West from the Clare Inn about an hour to reach the coast,
in around an area known as Kilkee. While there are a number of things to see around
Kilkee, it is hard to do them all without a) planning (ie reservations) or b) having
more than four hours to spend. Although we missed some sights, we were again treated to
some awesome cliffs and ocean views. More than at Moher, the Cliffs of Kilkee enabled
one to stand back and be truly awed by the power of the ocean. Across the entire horizon
massive Atlantic swells would rise and crash against the coast.
Realizing the time, we had to jump back into the car and speed off to the airport
(a needless gesture, as Andrew and Rebecca found their flight significantly delayed).
