PAKISTAN AIR FORCE     PAF

Pakistan Air Force PAF has the reputation of having worlds best pilots every time PAF is engaged in combat it has created history and has never let the country down even though the enemy was much stronger in number every time. PAF is no doubt one of the worlds best air force but from few years it was having problems about the aging inventory of Mirages and Migs (Mig 19 also known as F-6 and Mig 21 also known as F-7). Now some good steps have been taken to over come this problem. F-6 were taken out of the inventory of PAF and new F-7pg with advanced avionics were introduced after the year 2k. Mirage III were upgraded by Sagem to meet the challenging requirement of PAF. Now Pakistan government is looking foreword for the new Fighter aircraft Super-7 (FC-1 or JF-17) which is the joint venture of Sino-Pak. PAF has also contacted Belgium Air Force to buy up to 2 squadrons of used F-16s, as US has repeatedly blocked the sale of new ones.
