Plumage general dark green; paler on underparts. Forehead and crown red. Periophthalmic ring white; border of crown behind the eyes tinged with blue. Cheeks green. Red mark in the wing from secondary flight feathers. Bill yellowish-horn colored. Legs pale grey. Iris yellow.
