Size: about 35 cm. AMAZONA AUROPALLIATA PARVIPES is a little smaller.
Fruits, seeds and berries.
Plumage: general green to olive green. Most obvious large yellow spot at the nape. Nostrils and "hairs" around the dark cere appear black. Bill: Dark grey, base of upper mandible somewhat paler. Legs: pale grey. Iris: orange. Differences: AMAZONA AUROPALLIATA PARVIPES shows red on the bend of wing, the bill appears paler than in the nominate form.
