Kay Ballard, an attorney for AAUW Educational Foundation (on left), meets with Doris Karlik, (center) Past President of the North Palm Beach County Branch, and Jan Barker, Branch Member Vice President, to discuss the use of Margaret Strauss-Kramer's $100,000 donation to E F. Mrs. Strauss-Kramer's bequest covered the costs of a new research booklet "Tech-Savy," which was sent to all branches on April 10, 2000. Mrs. Strauss-Kramer gave to EF because she was interested in aiding AAUW because they help women. "Men are the usual beneficiaries of other largesse, but this is for women." Mrs. Strauss-Kramer died on April 21,2000.
