What is Information Technology (IT)?

IT (information technology) is a term that encompasses all forms of technology used to create, store, exchange, and use information in its various forms (business data, voice conversations, still images, motion pictures, multimedia presentations, and other forms, including those not yet conceived). It's a convenient term for including both telephony and computer technology in the same word. It is the technology that is driving what has often been called "the information revolution."

IT in Pakistan

Pakistan is taking more and more steps to implement Information Technology in a better way, so that it can help it out in some really difficult tasks. Now there are a number of ISPs in Pakistan while a few years ago there were only a couple of service providers were in it. There is a huge increase in number of electronic media. Government is trying to stress student to take steps in this field so as Pakistan can be regarded as prominant in this field too.
