I have said that I do not have much religion yet I firmly believe that I Have a guardian Angel, whose wings by now, are very battered indeed.

During my life I have been in situations were there was no way that I should have survived although I am still here today. On each one of those occasions I know that it was my Angel who saved my hide.

On one occasion whilst bushwalking, abseiling and climbing the cliffs, alone, near Mt Banks in the Grose Valley NSW, the following occurred: I overbalanced and fell backwards over the edge.

The stick that I was carrying caught between a rock and a tree with my feet hanging into space and a several hundred-metre drop under me.

The stick was only about 5-6 centimetres longer then the gap between the rock and tree.

A group of walkers coming the other way on the normally deserted track helped me back onto the track My Angel was most definitely there.

On another occasion, I was driving my 4WD along some tracks around Narrow Neck near Katoomba NSW. Due to a bit of overenthusiastic driving on my part, I managed to roll my vehicle onto its side with what appeared to be most of it hanging over the cliff. I was left in my seat looking down into nothingness and at tiny little trees way down there at the bottom. The 4WD was just hanging there by its tyres, caught in a deep narrow rut that normally, we tried to avoid running our wheels into, because if you got your wheels into the rut you would bottom or roll the vehicle and be unable to proceed. My friends were able to hook chains onto my 4WD and onto there vehicles then using two winches they hauled me upright and back onto the road my 4WD was a bit bent the sump was pushed in but not holed so I was able to drive it home My Angel was most definitely there again.

Whilst 4WD driving though the Kanangra Walls National park and doing some extreme 4WDriving bouncing over rocks, boulders, logs through rivers and creeks with plenty of winching, pushing and shoving. At the worst possible time, Murthy's law reared its ugly head my 4WD transfer case, transmission, started to fail with loud grindings, crunching and jumping out of gear. However, with the

help of my off-sider and my Angel, I was able to drive out of the gorge and home. Oh yes, big bills, cracked transfer case, housing, and driving 2 days with no transmission oil - oops shit1& all that!  Well, She did get us home.

There have been many other times in my life when I have escaped death at such great odds, due to the intervention of my Angel that even I don't quite believe what has happened - so why should anyone else...
