Tour 2000 - Singapore / Cambodia

After the success of Tour '98 we were expecting good things in 2000.  The team was quite different, but so was the destination.
We did Singapore again, though not as busy nor as long; but then we moved on to Cambodia.
Cambodia was an experience different than any of us had encountered.  It's a third world country bought about by the cruel hands of an old regime.  The poverty apart, the people don't seem to be affected - they're happy and friendly.
In Cambodia we carried something of a celebrity status as we were met at the airport by TV and gained coverage of most of our games.
At every game the gospel was preached and a testimony was shared.  That in itself made the tour worthwhile.
The results - well we lost more than we won and drew a few of the eleven games we played on tour.  In Cambodia we played the National Selection to a few hundred.  In the provinces we were greeted by a few thousand.  If someone invites you to a short term mission in Cambodia, do it!
