Although scriptwriter/director David Lynch absolutely hates this film, I found it to be an interesting film with many good moments. The acting was very stage-y, though, and very forced. All in all, this film has just as many good points as it does bad ones. The story itself is a quite complicated one, so I won't try to reiterate it. What really matters, though, is that I don't think David Lynch should be ashamed of this film. It's not, really, all that bad.
Rated PG-13 for sci-fi action/violence and some sexual content.
