LONG LAKE STORM OF OUGHT ONE
HOME
Central Wisconsin had a real grandaddy of a storm Monday night 6/11/01.  Long Lake got the worst of it.  Neither our new cottage or my son's cabin had any damage, but big trees were falling all around us.  This is the cottage next door to the boy's cabin where a couple dozen trees were down.  Bill, Carl and I borrowed a chain saw and sawed through several trees blocking our way out.
Whitburn's garage next door to our new cottage got clobbered with four big trees and some little ones.
That's our propane tank in the lower left corner.
This is from our bridge over looking Whitburns cottage.
One of the big ones that hit Whitburn's garage.
This is our front yard from our deck.
The boys wanted Sarah to be on the internet.
From under our bridge towards Whitburn's.
This is a big tree I tried so hard to save during construction.  Now it doesn't have a needle on it.
