Power Supply Unit

The Power Supply Unit

The Power Supply Unit is a computer component that is used to convert the alternate current (AC) power from the outlet to direct current (DC) power which is the type of current all the components of a computer needs. The PSU is normally situated at the back of a computer where the power cable is connected to. The power of a PSU is rated in watts, the higher the wattage, the more power can bring to the other components of the computer when needed. If a computer has a powerful CPU or a powerful dedicated GPU, they will need a higher amount of wattage from the PSU in order to function to their full performance.
