Three hours later, the Patreidae were
At their wits end. They were low on supplies,
And their best territories had been lost.
It looked as if the Hojans would prevail,
Though still our heroes did their best to try
And lure them onto Meridian ground.
Finally, only one stronghold remained
For our embattled heroes: the hotel
On Baltic Avenue still loomed above.
But Briams top hat happened then to land
On Park Place, home of four hotels that were
Held by the Hojans. Briam now was out,
And had to play the banker. None remained
Of Patreus clan, save Melinaus
And her small scotty dog, the Water Works,
And the stronghold on Baltic. The next turn,
The Hojan racecar landed on the space
Labeled "Free Parking"; Hojans took the cash
That rested in the center of the board.
The Patreidae balked, and called a foul:
Nowhere in standard rules did it allow
For random plundring of Community
Chest funds.
The Patreidae unsheathed their swords
And cut down all the citizens of Hoy
And stole their women, sold their kids as slaves,
Ate their unfinished meals, watched their TV,
Messed up their beds, though no one really cared
Since they were all dead. Anyhoo...
