Triple Triad Cards are special cards that you can collect and
find throughout your adventures in Final Fantasy VIII. The
lower level ones can be won in a card game or by simply
beating that enemy in a battle, there are also other ways of
obtaining a card (i.e. using the command Card, you can turn
enemies into a card).
The weakest cards are Level 1 and the most powerful being of
course the Level 10 cards, these cards are very rare and hard
to win as you will have to meet certain criteria before you
can even have the chance of playing the person in a card game
and winning the card.
Card Modify (Card Mod) is a useful refine ability that allows
you change card into a useful item and sometimes very rare
item as well. But be careful some cards you only get one in
the entire game and once you use this ability you cannot
reverse it.
