Movie Mistakes

The scene : After waking in Rivendell, the first scene shows Frodo with the Ring on a chain around his neck. In the rest of the scene however hes not wearing the One and when hes recovered and leaves his room at the House of Elrond for the first time he puts the Ring around his neck again.

The scene : Saruman takes Gandalfs staff containing the Light of Anor. When Gandalf escapes Isengard hes without the Light, when the Fellowship leave Rivendell however he does have it again (must be a case of one staff for every occasion).

The scene : When the Fellowship are climbing the Caradhas and Frodo loses the Ring while tripping over, hes not wearing his Mithril shirt.

The scene: the Fellowship leaves Lothlorien in boats. Aragorn takes Sam and Frodo, Boromir Merry and Pippin and Legolas takes Gimli. When they leave and Galadriel waves goodbye, Frodo is in front of the boat, sitting before Sam and Aragorn, looking at his present from Galadriel. You migh notice that drifting onto the River, Frodo again isnt wearing his mithril, but hey, whos counting? Stranger is the fact that when they pass the huge statues of the old kings, Aragorns kin as he kindly tells Frodo, because Frodo then suddenly is in front of him instead of Sam. I hardly think they swapped places in the middle of the River (then again, THEY could)

The scene: Elrond and Gandalf are talking about what to do with the Ring, and to what race to turn to etc. First they are on a balcony, but later they walk into the house. And then, suddenly, Elrond has put on different clothes (he's gotten rid of his cloak)! Yes it is true. Check out our Parody for details on this Elf-trick.

The scene: Gimli, Aragorn and Legolas are on the little beach together after they have sent Boromirs body with the boat along the River. Legolas asks Aragorn why they will not follow Frodo and Sam, and there you can see he suddenly sports another hairdo. I hardly think he asked Lurtz to do his hair, so this probably is again one of those Elf-tricks!

The scene : When the Fellowship flee from the Balrog you can see the Bridge of Khazad-dum in the distance, which is higher than where they are standing. When they run towards it however they go DOWN the stairs instead of up. A living bridge perhaps..?

The scene : When Boromir tries to take the One Ring off of Frodo, the hobbit slips it on his finger with the chain still around his neck. When he takes it off the Ring is not on the chain around his neck anymore but instead he holds it in his hand.

The scene : While the spying birds of Saruman are flying towards the Fellowship on top of the hill Boromir says that it probably cant be a cloud because its moving swiftly towards them against the wind. His hair however is moving in the same direction.

The scene : After surviving the attack of the first Orcs and the cave-troll, a new bunch of Orcs is surrounding the Fellowship. Frodos sword Sting however isnt glowing blue. Did the sword lose its power suddenly or was the battery empty?

The scene : When seeing the Argonath in the distance and then passing it, both the statues of the Kings of Old are holding up their left arm in a stop sign. When the boats have passed the Argonath however one of the statues is holding up his right arm.

The scene : Not only Legolas has an invisible hairdresser with him on his journey, after the battle at Amon Hen Gimli also wears his beard differently.

The scene : When the hobbits are hiding from the Black Rider for the first time you can see the Nazgul passing the tree above them. He doesnt appear on the right side of the tree however, he just appears on the left, like hes been hiding in the tree and suddenly walks out of it.

The scene : When the Fellowship are sailing down the Great River Anduin in their boats, Legolas senses the presence of the Uruk-hai. They are traveling on the West bank of the River while the Elf looks left, towards the Eastern shore. Maybe Legolas senses are deceiving him slowlyor was he too busy plaiting his hair again?

The scene : During the firework-scene Merry and Pippin are hiding in a tent stuffed with tables, food and other things. When the firework goes off the tent flies into the air with it. When the shot returns to the hobbits again however there are no signs anymore of the things that had been in the tent only seconds before, the only stuff laying on the ground Merry and Pip.
