1- 4) Departs every Monday Day 1 - Monday To
Venice Arrive Marco Polo Airport and have your dinner in hotel. Walk under
the dark of Venice and enjoy the night time in the Al Volto (the oldest
wine bar with excellent selection of snacks).
Overnight in
graded 5-Star Hotel : Splendid Suisse (San Marco) or Gabrielli
Sandwirth (City center). Day 2 - Tuesday San
Marco - Rialto After breakfast,
we
begin our tour around the San Marco which is the busiest district of
Venice.
Visiting the St Mark’s Basilica in Piazza San Marco to relive the glory
days of Venice, then visiting the architecture of churches such as Chiesa
San Zaccaria and Cappella di San Tarasio. Arsenale (The Venetian military
and technological superiority) and the Naval Museum - Museo Storico Navale.
Then visit the Bridge of Sighs which once is the temporary home of
Casanova, links the Doges’ Palace to the gloomy old prisons – Prigioni
Nuove. After lunch, we walk to the
other side of San Marco to visit the churches, Chiesa di Santa Maria
Formosa, Basilica dei Santi Govanni e Paolo, Chiesa dei Miracoli, Chiesa
dei Santi Apostoli, Chiesa della Madonna dell’Orto to get know about
their history. Then go to House of Gold - Ca’ d’Oro. Having a dinner of seafood in
Harry’s Bar (the highest class restaurant in Venice). After dinner, we
visit the Venice’s night by taking gondola. Overnight in
graded 5-Star Hotel : Splendid Suisse (San Marco) or Gabrielli
Sandwirth (City center). Day 3 - Wednesday San
Marco After breakfast,
going to explore the history and visit the wonderful architecture of
Palazzo Contarini, Basilica della Salute and Chiesa di Santo Stefano which
built on two islands. Later on, visiting the most comprehensive collection
of art at Accademia di Belle Arti. Then go to visit one of the most famous
theatre in Europe - Teatro La Fenice. After lunch, continue the tour
to a private church Chiesa San Giovanni Grisostomo and Scuola Grande di
San Giovanni Evangelista which about religious processions. Keeping on to
visit the paintings inside the Basilica Santa Maia Gloriosa dei Frari and
Scuola Grande di San Rocco with excellent decoration. Having a dinner in Tavern La Fenice (famous with its
nice food). After dinner, we go for
cinema,
music and theatre (optional). Overnight in
graded 5-Star Hotel : Splendid Suisse (San Marco) or Gabrielli
Sandwirth (City center).
