My Testimony !Revelation12:11. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. We read that we are overcomes by our testimony so this is mine. I am a 45 year old father. I was born and raised in a Christian upbringing. Unlike some folks I knew better than to live the way I chose to live. I was rebellious and didn't want to live like my parents wanted me to live, so I moved out and started down the path of destruction. The Bible tells of many such people. The Lord will lead us and guide us to what is right, but God gave us the power of choice. I know being a earthly father that sometimes it hurts to let your children choose the wrong way to do things. But God gave us the power of choice! So I got a girl pregnant and got married at the age of 17. I thought that I chew what love was. That is the start of immortal acts in my life. All it seemed like I was living for was the party. I started smoking pot and popping pills. That lead to drinking heavily and cocaine.Untill 8 years ago in September of 1991 I was a drug addict and an alcoholic. It was in my home on a day that I was to drugged out to work that it happened. The TV. was on and Kenneth Copeland was on the tube. He said something like this could be your last day on earth are you ready to meet Jesus. I started to weep and I got on my knees and told the Lord if he gave me one more chance with my family I would serve him till I die. I was forgiven. In a holy ghost service in a little country church. Millersville Assembly of God near Nashville Tennessee I am not sure why I was in that service. I hadn't attended church for 10 years. But on this day I was touched. The pastor at the end of the service said there is someone here tonight that feels like they are at the end of their rope. And they have an addiction .He said the Lord will touch you and heal you right now. Before the word now was out of his mouth I was on my feet and in front of the alter waiting for something to happen. It did the Lord touched me and immediately I was healed. The Lord did give me another chance with my family. I have 4 children ages 28,26,25,11 years old .I have 5 Grand children. Oh how the Lord blesses us even though we don't notice the blessings sometimes. I hope this brief testimony helps someone out there. If you are lost and hooked on the worldly affairs. It doesn't matter how bad you think it is the Lord will forgive you and heal you just ask him and get into a good full Bible preaching church. God bless you all Your brother in Christ ! Dean L.
