PREVIEWS BLURB
"The millennia-spanning event reaches a mind-blowing conclusion as today's JLA reunites in the 853rd Century! Even the combined power of the JLA's core members; Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Flash, is dwarfed by the awesome energies of Solaris, the Tyrant Sun! And with Vandal Savage in possession of what may be the last piece of Kryptonite in the galaxy, the villains' plan finally becomes clear: to kill the original Man of Steel at all costs. With Superman's return from the core of the sun imminent, the moment has arrived for the JLA members to prove that they truly are the greatest heroes of any era!"

Among those killed by Solaris are the Shining Prince, the Atomic Lantern, Delta Centurion, several Superboy Clones and a good number of Thanagarian Wingmen.
The only known cases of solar computers malfunction are Solaris and Morbiac the Zombie Star (who is entombed in the Black Cluster) nemesis of the Gulf Latitude Hero Clans.
Prior to meeting Kyle in GREEN LANTERN #1,000,000 Solaris has never met a Green Lantern or a Green Lantern Power Ring. This is at variance with background pictures in SUPERMAN THE MAN OF TOMORROW which show a Green Lantern as part of a JLA fighting Solaris.
Both the New Gods and Zauriel know about the approach of the danger that Metron warned about. Plastic Man overheard them talking disguised as a drinks machine while the Martian Manhunter sense something approaching.
SYNOPSIS
With Solaris defeated in the twentieth century the remaining JLA members and the Justice Legion (minus Starman who gave his life to banish the new born Solaris) turn their attention to getting back to the 853rd century as the future Superman begins punching through the time barrier. Meanwhile in the 853rd century it is all out war as Solaris battles the assembled Justice Legions cutting a devastating path through them towards Earth. The only hope lies with the Justice League, the ancient plans of Resurrection Man and the immortal Martian Manhunter.
As Justice Legion X, the Justice Legion of Super-Zoomorphs and the Marvel Family lay covering fire Green Lantern plunges into the heart of Solaris in a desperate gamble to plant a black hole at his core to trigger a nova event. After retrieving the sample of DNA from the core Kyle uses his ring (of which Solaris has to data) to push Solaris into a supernovae. As he begins to explode Kyle tries to contain the blast with his ring, he is joined by the newly arrived Superman M*. As a last shot Solaris launches the Knight Fragment (which he thinks is Kryptonite) towards the Sun. The twentieth century Superman pursues the fragment but soon realise that it's not Kryptonite and allows it to plunge into the Sun. It is then that the true nature of the Knight Fragment is revealed as the lost power ring of the Green Lantern.
A giant green hand crushes what remains of Solaris as Superman Prime emerges from the sun wearing the Green Lantern power ring. Celebrations follow as the League, Legion and others from across time and space gather to party. Using the sample of DNA from Solaris' core Lois Lane is resurrected and Hourman recreates Krypton from a sliver of time.
As for Vandal Savage, he had used John Fox's gauntlets to travel to the 853rd century Earth that he thought Solaris would have conquered instead he finds himself transported into the past at ground zero in Montevideo. A trick by Chronos II. Vandal Savage then dies in the nuclear blast.
QUOTE
"THIS IS J'ONN J'ONZZ MALECA'ANDRA... PLANET FOUR... TELEPATHICALLY OVERRIDING HEADNET... A JOINT DEFENCE EFFORT BY THE JLA TEAMS... OF TWO ERAS HAS BEEN UNDER WAY... SINCE THE 20TH CENTURY... STEPS... HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO END SOLARIS' RAMPAGE.." - The future Martian Manhunter still alive in the 853rd century finally makes himself known.
