education/formation: He might be educated, together with his brothers Priests Teodoro Pereira de Queirós and Francisco de Sales Pereira, in the Seminary of Mariana, MG, Brazil, because the "de genere et moribus" process for the entrance has has the names of the three brothers, but before receiving the orders he would give up followinng the ecclesiastic career. He was endowed of excelent caligraphy, as proved by the records of his own hand as Clerk and as Notary.

profession/activities: With other partners, Captain Francisco Gonçalves Chaves and Jerônimo de Souza Pereira, he bought the right to receiving the "Tenth of the High Hinterland of this Captaincy" ["Dízimos dos Certões Altos desta Capitania"]. He also had partnership with the son Demétrio Fidelis "... em duas tropas de bestas muares q' elle [Demétrio] foi buscar na Cidade de S. Paulo, entrando eu com os Capitaes e elle com o trabalho; e industria; ...". He has been Clerk [Escrivão] of the Senate f the Council [Senado da Câmara], of the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, from the 1st to the 11th/Jan/1786 and of 13th/Apr/1786 to 24th/May/1786. He served as Clerk in the session of the 1st/Jan/1787. He has been a Clerk of the Council [Câmara] in the triennial 1789-1791, starting on the 1st/Jan/1789, but in this session was substituted by Pedro Alves de Araujo, starting effectively later, serving until the 31th/Oct/1791. He also has been a Notary, probably still in 1791.

military service: He was Commanding Captain of the Ordenança of the Red River [Rio Vermelho], probably since 1792.

politics/public offices: He has been a Fiscal of the House of Foundry [Casa de Fundição], of the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, in the year of 1786. He has been a Procurator of the Council [Câmara] of 1788, having taken office on 8th/Jan/1788, in substituition of the alderman Captain João Coelho Barboza. He was elected a "de barrete" alderman of the Council [Câmara] of 1800, taking office on the 2nd/Jan/1800, in place of the alderman Luis Antônio José Rodrigues. He was again elected alderman of the Councils of 1806, and 1809, and Ordinary Judge [Juiz Ordinário] of the Councils [Câmaras] of 1812 and of 1815.

religion/brotherhoods: He was roman apostolic catholic. He belonged at least to five (5) relilgious brotherhoods, among which the Third Order of Our Lady of the Mount Carmel [Ordem 3ª de N. Sra. do Monte do Carmo], of the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, of the Chapel of Matozinhos [Capella de Matozinhos], of Congonhas, MG, Brazil, and of the Brotherhoods o Saint Francis of Paula and of Men´s Our Lady [Irmandades de São Francisco de Paula e de N. Sra. Mãe dos Homens], of Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. Although it is not written in his testament the declaration of being brother of the Most Holy Sacrament [Santíssimo Sacramento], of the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, he was sepulchred inside the Mother Church [Matriz], of the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, in a grave os this Brotherhood.

slaves: We have not find slaves of his property, maybe by the fact that he transferred a considerable part of his assets, as endowement, to his wife, by virtue of the marriage contract "por arras".

diverse: He nominated as executors of his testament, with a prize of 100$000 réis, and term of four (4) years: 1st his woman, Luiza Victória de Siqueira Henriques Ayala; 2nd his son, Captain (Ordenança) Demétrio Fidelis Pereira de Queirós (father); and 3rd the son-in-law, Captain of Militia Simão da Cunha Pereira (da Silveira). The administrator of his inventory was his wife, Luiza Victória de Siqueira Henriques de Ayala.

residence: Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, in the house of his brother Priest Francisco de Sales Pereira, in the two-stage building that belonged to his brother Master Priest Teodoro Pereira de Queirós, in the house # 18, in the Right Side, of the Above the Mother Church Street [Rua de Cima da Matriz], because in the year of 1811, is is said that "he lives with the Reverend Francisco de Salis Pereira, and other his brothers" ["mora o Reverendo Francisco de Salis Pereira, e outros Seus manos"]. This same house, in 1819, passed to being property of Luiza Victória de Siqueira Henriques de Ayala, by endowement, indication that was inherited by the Captain (Ordenança) Carlos Pereira de Sá (sn), because his last surviving brother died in 1816. Later, after her death, was left to her daughter Ignez Lidora Rosa de Queirós, that destinated it for the dwelling of her son Dr. Simão da Cunha Pereira, becoming known this way as the "Home of Dr. Simão da Cunha" ["Casa do Dr. Simão da Cunha"].
