The Band The aim of this web site is to document The Band's entire career, from their start as the Hawks to the present, and to keep their fans updated on the current activities of the group and its members.
Barry Fish Melton co-founded the musical group Country Joe and the Fish, and began his career as a guitarist and singer, recording and touring with "Country Joe" McDonald as a duo and with various bands, with his own bands and as a solo artist under the name Barry "The Fish" Melton. He is one of the last living guitar players of the Fillmore and Avalon Ballroom era of San Francisco rock music!
