Van Morrison After changing his name from George Ivan, soon became the leader of a Belfast, Northern Ireland group called Them. On January 1, 1965, Bobby Harrison took over as leader after their first hit "Baby Please Don't Go." Vanilla Fudge First album titled Vanilla Fudge did very well in 1967, then their slowed down "Heavier" cover of the Holland-Dozier-Holland composition will make the Pop Top Ten in 1968. Velvet Underground Theirs was the dim world of drugs and sexual perversion, of heroin addiction and the desperate loss of hope that goes with it. Their concern was with death and violence...
