Throughout DBZ and DBGT, there are several types of fusion used. Here I intend to educate the minds of the world on the details of this technique ^_^ |

|
|
|
|
|
FUSION TYPE 1 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The first type of fusion seen in DBZ, is the fusion of Namekians. This particular technique is used twice by Piccolo. With Namekian fusion, one Namekian [we'll dub him N1] absorbs the other [he'll be N2]. N1 does not change in appearance (as with the other types of fusion). N1 gains N2's energy, memories, and knowledge, and N2 no longer really exists. Some characters can sense N2 inside of N1. This fusion is permanent. Piccolo first does this during the Freeza saga. He fuses with Nail in an attempt to become strong enough to defeat.... Freeza. (Dende feels Nail in Piccolo) The second occurance is during the Cell saga where Piccolo absorbs Kami to become more powerful against Cell. (Goku feels Kami in Piccolo, makes a comment using a new name Kamicolo, which Piccolo adamantly refuses to accept) |

FUSION TYPE 2 |

|
|
|
|
The second type of fusion is fusion with the Potara earings. This is used in DBZ during the Buu saga. Dai Kaioshin gave the earings to Goku, and showed him how to use them. One character puts an earing on their left ear, while his partner puts the other earing on his right ear. The two then smash together and from the ~ki-smoke~ emerges a new warrior! Goku and Vegeta perform this fusion in the fight against Buu. Goku had originally planned to fuse with Gohan, but after a lack of partners, Goku finally found Vegeta and *tricked* him into fusing with him. Goku didn't tell Vegeta the fusion was permanent O_O! Vegitto (Goku and Vegeta fused with Potara earings) ended up being swallowed by Buu, and Buu's bizare stomach causes the two saiya-jins to split. |

FUSION TYPE 3 |

|
This is my favorite type of fusion ^_^. This is more commonly seen than the other two. This involves the ridiculous Fusion Dance! Absolutely hilarious to watch, look below to see my stick figure rendition of it ^_~. Two warriors of similar build and strength perform a series of idiotic dance moves at PRECISELY the same time while saying EXACTLY together "FU ---- SION HA!"
Characters who fuse like this, have a vest with puffy sleeves and collar. Goten and Trunks are taught this technique so that they can try and beat Buu. Gotenks (Goten + Trunks) is pretty strong, and can go ssj3..... his attacks aren't so useful though..... When Goku and Vegeta do the fusion dance, you now have Gogita, one of my favorite characters ^_~. Gogita isn't in DBZ, but IS in DBZ movie #12 Fukkatsu no Fusion (Rebirth of Fusion) [I LOVE this movie!! I bought it from Japan -- NO SUBTITLES!! I'm insane! >: P] Ssj4 Gogita is seen in DBGT [pretty kewl looking guy, if you ask me ^_~]. As with all fusions, the new character is cocky and has an entirely new persoality, uninfluenced by either of the two involved in the fusion. If the dance is not executed EXACTLY right, the resulting character is..... deformed. In movie #12, Vegeta fails to extend his index finger, and so Gogita was extremely obese.... Fusion by means of the dance only lasts 30 minutes, so in some ways that's good and others that's bad. |
