The band Joy Division died with the suicide of Ian Curtis but both were not forgotten. Both became legend. The remaining members (Peter, Stephen, and Benard) traded their melancholic tunes of yesteryear and captured the spirit alive found in the 80's. With keyboardist Gillian Gilbert New Order was formed. Their upbeat blend of guitars and synthesizers made a transformation in the music industry, ushering in all kinds of dance music such as eletronica.
