:: Command :: Independent :: Magic :: Summon :: Support :: Magic - Green This will be your first and most useful type of Materia. It has everything you require from Healing to Powerful element/status attacks. Not only that but most of the Magic Materia can be linked with a Support Materia causing it to have greater power than before. Attacking Spells Ice/Fire/Earth/Gravity/Lighting/Poison - Be careful when attack with these elements, some enemies may be weak against one element but others may be strong against it, so either use command Materia sense to see their weakness or simple trial and error. Ice - Element damage. Location: Ice, Fire, Lighting can be found in Wall Market, Costa Del Sol, Fort Condor, Mideel. (Equipped on Cloud) Fire - Element damage. Location: Ice, Fire, Lighting can be found in Wall Market, Costa Del Sol, Fort Condor, Mideel. (Equipped on Red XIII) Lighting - Element damage. Location: Ice, Fire, Lighting can be found in Wall Market, Costa Del Sol, Fort Condor, Mideel. (Equipped on Cloud) Earth - Quake element damage. Location: Kalm, Costa Del Sol. Gravity - Gravity element damage, reduce enemies HP to 0.75, 0.5 and 0.25 of Max HP. Location: Cosmo Canyon. Comet - Causes a rock to fall on your enemy, powered up (Comet 2) can cause several rocks to fall on your enemies. Location: Ancient City Contain - Extreme elemental attacks, Freeze, Break, Tornado and Flare use with caution, there is a 10% that the enemy will be affected by the status ailment. Location: Mideel, feed the white Chocobo a Mimett green and scratch behind its ears, it will then give you the Materia. Ultima - The most powerful spell in the game, non-elemental damage to all opponents. Location: You will get this free if you save North Corel from the train, if you get to the train but failed to stop it then you must buy it from the boy for 50,000 Gil, if you never reached the train then you will never get this Materia. Indirect Spells These following spells will either heal your characters or used to inflict a status ailment upon them. These spells are very useful and should stay with you throughout the game unlike the attacking ones that will be replaced my more powerful spells later one. Restore - Best when linked with All so you heal all of your characters at the same time, one of the most useful Materia you can get. Location: Midgar - Sector 5 Slums, Wall Market, Mideel, Fort Condor, Costa Del Sol, Mako Reactor No.1. Full Cure - Fully heals one characters HP, not as useful as Restore but still worth having. Location: Cosmo Canyon, back of the shop (Disc 2/3). Heal - This Materia can heal you of all status ailments or prevent them, better off using items and leaving this slot for another Materia, Location: Kalm, Upper Junon, Gongaga Revive - Brings an ally back from the dead, it reaches it best effect when linked with Final Attack. Location: Upper Junon, Gongaga, Costa Del Sol (Disc 2/3) Seal - Inflicts Sleep/Silence status upon enemies. Location: Upper Junon, Cost Del Sol (Disc 2/3) Mystify - Inflicts Confusion/Berserk upon enemies. Location: Gongaga, Cosmo Canyon Transform - Turns an opponent into a Frog or minimize them. Location: North Corel, Cosmo Canyon, Gongaga, Mideel, Mt. Corel. (equipped on Cait Sith) Exit - Removes targets instantly or allies escape from battle. Location: Rocket Town (Disc 2/3) Time - Causes Haste, Slow, Stop status. Location: Gongaga, Rocket Town Barrier - Causes Barrier, MBarrier, Reflect, Wall. Location: Rocket Town. Shield - Extreme defense magic, you can't even heal your characters after using this so be careful. Location: Mako Pit Destruct - Removes defense, indirect spells, status. Location: Fort Condor, Mideel (Disc 2/3), Shinra Mansion (Disc 1, thrown at you by Sephiroth).
