Episodes: 1.1 A New Life(Two Parts) The first episode ever. It introduces Harm and his (temporary as it turned out) partner, Lt.(J.G.) Pike. They explore a puzzling mystery: an aviator has died in the height of her career in what appears to be a suicide. Introduces Harm's Season 1 parter, Lieutenant(J.G.) Meg Austin. The Navy's top-of-the-line torpedo, "Shadow", has been captured by a civilian who demands 40 million dollars for its return, and the new partners have to get it back without causing any deaths. A Lieutenant, who is the son of an extremely influential general, appears to have accidently transposed two numbers of his firing coordinates, causing friendly troops to die. He admits that he was drunk at the time, but was he set up? When investigating an attempted weapons theft at a military prison, Harm and Meg find themselves in the middle of a riot...with Meg as one of the hostages. 1.5 Deja Vu(aka Soldier of Love) A number of Navy Lieutenants in Washington, D.C., have been killed. As Harm investigates, he finds himself distracted by the beautiful wife of the Thai Ambassador, struck by her resembalence to his first love. Harm and Meg are sent to investigate a deadly crash by a pilot who was using a new computer piloting system, APTERN. However, Harm finds his priorities are confused by the fact that the pilot, Lt. Pendry, was one of his best friends at the Academy and that Pendry's wife, Annie, and son, Josh, are certain that the crash wasn't his friend's fault. After a Peruvian boy trying to climb into the American Embassy is killed, Harm and Meg are sent to try to defuse the situation. But, upon their arrival, they discover a sinister plot. When a Marine Corporal is captured by the Iraqis, who claim he entered their territory as a spy, Saddam Hussein agrees to let him be represented by American Lawyers. Naturally, Harm and Meg are sent. However, representing the Corporal isn't their only mission... A young girl disappears and the town cries foul. At first it appears to be a kidnapping by a UFO, but Harm and Meg soon discover something much more sinister... Guest Stars A Marine is beaten badly during a simulated attack. Harm and Mac try to discover who did it, but the Marine isn't exactly helpful. 1.11 Defensive Action Harm is promoted to Lt. Commander in this episode. He and Meg attempt to defend Captain Boone, who is accused of firing unprovoked onto a Serbian aircraft, while one of the best JAG lawyers, Commander Krennick, prosecutes the case. But their key witness is in the middle of a war zone. A Marine recruit is found hanging from a rappelling tower...dead. Although officially ruled a suicide, Harm and Meg go to investigate after receiving an anonymous letter claiming that the recruit was murdered. Meg decides she can find out more undercover-as a recruit. This episode was acutally aired after Scimitar, but it chronologically belongs here. A Tomcat is hit by lightening, forcing it to land on Cuba. Harm, Meg, and Krennick are sent to negotiate for the release of the Tomcat...or are they? Accidently, Meg receives a fax containing secret data about someone called Shepherd. When Meg is shot by someone who takes the fax, Harm and Krennick have to find and stop a mysterious assasin called "Hemlock" while Meg fights for her life. The best Marine Corps sniper is ordered to active duty in Bosnia, but he responds by shooting his commanding officer. Harm is sent to rescue his career, mostly because Admiral Chegwidden was saved by the sniper during the Vietnam War. However, the sniper is very reluctant to cooperate, and Harm's job becomes more and more difficult. After a Naval Aviator is killed on a SEAL Training mission, the Navy is accused of gross negligence. When Harm and Meg are sent to investigate, disturbing facts keep turning up, suggesting that the SEAL commanding officer is guilty. A Marine Colonel, during divorce proceedings where he is represented by Harm, becomes convinced that his son is an old war buddy of his. When he runs off with the boy, a trigger-happy deputy is sent after him. 1.18 Recovery(aka Discovery) Harm and Meg are sent to an Air Force base to investigate an astronaut's death. All signs seem to point toward sabotage by an old rival of Harm's, Lt. Commander Lowrey. But, as Harm starts to doubt his objectivity, a space shuttle is approved for lift off...is it sabotaged as well? On vacation near Hong Kong, Harm is kidnapped. His kidnappers attempt to persuade him that his father is being held there too, and that they will let them both go...if Harm gives them vital information. Harm attempts to go on vacation again, only to be diverted at Okinawa to investigate, along with Pike and an officer named Brockman, the murder of a Naval officer. NBC filmed half of a two-parter episode, Skeleton Crew (Guest Stars), but decided to stop producing JAG. CBS then bought the rights to JAG and began producing new episodes, never finishing Skeleton Crew.
