2002 Titans

What can I say and how do I start. It just doesn't feel right to sit here and tell you the season is over. We went up against a very scrapy TJ Saturday that just wouldn't go away. Even though I felt we totally domoinated the game in every aspect, there is only one that counts in the end. We certainly had our opportunities early in the game. Several shots off the posts, several just wide, and several just a little late. We should have put the game away early but the finish wasn't there. TJ managed to hang around just enough to sneak in the back door and suprise us with one with 15 minutes left in the game. Everyone played hard, Justin Toole had some great saves again doing his part to keep us in the game. Luke Thomson won every 50/50 ball, in fact one time him and Daniel Knigge collided in the air, Daniel will end up with a black eye from that one. Daniel, Jimmy Johnston, and Ross Shepard worked hard up front. In the back defensively Seth Jackson played well considering he missed practice most of the week with an injury. I pulled him out for a little to give him a rest and put in Todd Edwards to sweep. Todd played great back there and was talking his head off and moving every where. The season is over but all in all it was a great season. We finished 10-3, we grew as indiviauals, grew as a team, and major a major leap into the right direction for the future for Titan soccer. For our Seniors, we are sorry, we really wanted more for you, it hurts to end any season but everyone played there best today and left it on the field. I want to take a momment to Thank the moms for all of the meals and the time they took to feed and provide for us this year. It was greatly appreciated by all. It took a lot of time on your parts and the meals were all very good. Thank you. Also Thank you to the parents and your over whelming support and understanding this year. We were a young team this year with a lot of talent. We need to accept what happens, keep our heads high, and remain confident. Good things come to those who wait and work at it. We will be having a year end awards party in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned here and I will publish the date as well as call everyone.
