Contrast and Balance
Balance
Artist uses balance in
creating visual weight. When artists create balanced art they used
elements of art such as line, color, and shape. Art is balanced in
several ways, such as:
1) Asymmetrical (formal) balance means both sides of an imaginary line are the same. 2) Asymmetrical (formal) balance means both sides of an imaginary line are the same. 3) Radial balance means lines or shapes grow from a center point. |

Contrast
A second principles of art is contrast. Contrast shows how two or more things are different. The more different they are the more contrast. A good contrast colors are white and black. Contrast is used by artists to make something show up in a painting or sometimes to show softer look. |
