Overview
of the Main Gay Areas:
-
Central
Area: the most concentrated gay area forms a
crescent in the so called "West End",
extending from the area around Tottenham
Court tube, down and across to the historic
and vibrant Soho district,
and on to Charing
Cross station - I have split this into three
maps, but all the bars in these areas are in
walking distance of each other.
-
Earl's
Court:
if you fly into Heathrow, and travel into London
on the Piccadilly tube line, you will pass through
this area. The gay scene here is much smaller than
the central area, but is self contained and varied
- three bars (although each are worth visiting at
different times), a good club, a couple gay
hotels, a couple of gay restaurants, and a couple
of gay shops. Lots of gay Londoners live in this
area and it also has a village feel.
