There are many myths about Greenland, one, that it is always cold and there always is snow. In these pages, you will find it different. Here you will find still more of my photos, and history, mostly from
Thule district, - incl. old Thule and Thule Air Base, Siorapaluk - worlds northernmost settlement, and as far north as Kane Basin and the Kennedy Channel at 81 north,
from the Icecap north of Thule, and from Station North and Ammassalik at the east coast. But also other sites, Sondre Strom at the west coast, and as far south as Angissoq / Nanortalik at the south tip.
I spent 5 years in Greenland, 3 at Thule Air Base. And in march - april 1969, when I was 26 years of age, I joined two thule-eskimo friends, father and son, in a 5-week journey by dogsledge 800 km north of Thule, crossing a corner of the
icecap to the frosen waters at Kane Basin, for hunting polar bears in this vast uninhabited areas around the huge Humboldt Glacier.
