| At Sauganash Community Church we believe that the youth of our congregation are a very important part of our community. Throughout the year we involve the children in different aspects of the church to enrich both their lives and the lives of people around them. There is Sunday school for all ages beginning at 9:30 am the first three Sunday's of the month. On the fourth (and occasional fifth) Sunday there is Kids Kingdom. During Kids Kingdom we explore other areas with the children such as Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF and planting bulbs to beautify the church. The children take part in plays including our annual Christmas program performed during the church service and an evening show in the spring. They can participate in the service as acolytes and help with holiday decorating. When there is a fifth Sunday in a month, it is the youth who serve during coffee hour. And not only are the youth involved at church, but they also take part in various missions of their own. Every June a group from the church takes part in the Kids Walk for Homeless Kids, and various other missions are becoming annual events. YOUth can make a difference and it is our goal at SCC to show them how! |
