          Red XIII, or rather, Nanaki, is the son of the guardian of Cosmo Canyon, Seto. He was rescued by Cloud at the Shinra building, where he was held captive as a specimen for Professor Hojo. He had, at first, believed that he was the son of a coward, but Bugenhagen, the chief elder at Cosmo Canyon, had shown him the truth. Nanaki is highly intellectual, and his tribe possesses incredible longetivity. He is also a skilled warrior, and a proficient magic-user. He has an actual flaming tail that extinguishes when he dies.

Kasa no Miko's note: I can't help thinking how cute Red XIII must be when he was a puppy. Before, I had a Red XIII-puppy drawing craze (I drew his infant self all over my notebook). And also, I (along with many fanfic authors) can't decide what he is. A cat-dog-lion-wolf thing?

Cloud: I know what he is! He told me.

Kasa no Miko: (sparkling eyes) Well? What is he?

Cloud: (raises finger knowingly and puffs out his chest) He is a what-you-see!

Kasa no Miko: 0.0 What???

Cloud: A what-you-see.

Kasa no Miko: (flail) What the hell is a what-you-see?!?!

Cloud: (scratches head) I don't know, either. But when we asked him what he was at the Shinra building, he answered, "I am what you see."

Kasa no Miko: (keel over)

Cloud: (grins) Smart, ain't I?

Kasa no Miko: (glare) No...

Cloud: (ignores remark, starts to walk away) Well, in case you want to know anything else, just approach me ^_^

Kasa no Miko: (big, huge sweatdrop)
