Neopets Art

I love Neopets! Not only is it fun, and cool, and addictive, but it taught me almost everything I know about drawing. ^.~ All this stuff spans a year and a half of my art, so some of the earlier stuff is... *cough* certainly not what I'm drawing now. x.X Sorted from oldest to newest, as always. Due to the sheer volume of my Neopets drawings, I'm going to try to get them all up, but if I get bored halfway through and start putting up just a few samples, then you'll know why. x.X I'm also not going to put up my fan art for other people, or art trades, or pics that are too small for me to make a good thumbnail from them. The name(s) of the pet(s) in the drawing are underneath the thumbnail.

All of these (with a few exceptions) were drawn with pencil and paper, scanned in, and colored on the computer. Some were colored just from the pencil lines, others from a fine-tip pen outline, and the most recent ones re-outlined on the computer with the mouse before coloring. Colored and manipulated with Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0 and the mouse.

HINT: Unless you've got a morbid sense of humor or are obsessed with me or something, don't even bother with the first 5 pages or so. -.-;;

Maani Would ya look at that? My first ever scanned in, computer-colored pic! Also my first pic of a Zafara. Now, as to the sign, it was because back then there wasn't a Zafara game or Zafara battledome challenger or anything, so I started a campaign. ^^; With the pic, I seemed to think that highlights and shadows were the same thing. o.O;

Duo My darling purple Poogle Duo, drawn way back before the look of the purple Poogles changed (I feel old). This one was colored with crayon and colored pencil instead of the computer technique, and was made sorta for Christmas... the title is supposed to make you wonder whether the gift I'm talking about is the package or the gift of a great pet. ^^ I like the way the pose turned out, but it's pretty primitive.

No particular pet *groan* Augh. My coloring stunk back then, didn't it? x.X There's all those white spaces... and no shading... *cough* Anyway, this pic was made for my Zafaras Rock! campaign as well.

Maani Maani and his old Abominable Snowball, Frosty, in a pic I did for a short story I wrote about them, called "Shadows". I never really liked this a whole lot. The line art stinks, and it was kinda rushed so the coloring stinks, too. x.X

Maani It's funny, but I liked this pic when I first made it, and I like it even now, two years of experience later. That's pretty amazing for me. I guess... I like it mostly because the line art just mysteriously came together, and the anatomy isn't half bad except that the front legs are a bit small. The coloring was trying a new technique and came out pretty well, too (except that I transformed the pic so many times that it lost a lot of quality).
