Neopets Art

I love Neopets! Not only is it fun, and cool, and addictive, but it taught me almost everything I know about drawing. ^.~ All this stuff spans a year and a half of my art, so some of the earlier stuff is... *cough* certainly not what I'm drawing now. x.X Sorted from oldest to newest, as always. Due to the sheer volume of my Neopets drawings, I'm going to try to get them all up, but if I get bored halfway through and start putting up just a few samples, then you'll know why. x.X I'm also not going to put up my fan art for other people, or art trades, or pics that are too small for me to make a good thumbnail from them. The name(s) of the pet(s) in the drawing are underneath the thumbnail.

All of these (with a few exceptions) were drawn with pencil and paper, scanned in, and colored on the computer. Some were colored just from the pencil lines, others from a fine-tip pen outline, and the most recent ones re-outlined on the computer with the mouse before coloring. Colored and manipulated with Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0 and the mouse.

HINT: Unless you've got a morbid sense of humor or are obsessed with me or something, don't even bother with the first 5 pages or so. -.-;;

Damie My first pic of my Gelert Damie, and the beginnings of my Gelert style. This later became his title header (it says 'Damie's page' by his feet, but the 'D' is falling off and Damie's watching it go). The body is off-proportion, but I think the head is pretty good for a first try.

Damie Aww, poor Damie. Maybe we shouldn't have installed those linoleum floors. XD I really like that I got the expression and pose that I wanted, that of him skidding out of control across a slippery floor, but unable to stop. Shading could have used some blending, though.

Rya Just a simple portrait of Ryama, done when I realized I hadn't been drawing her much of late. I love how the purple background turned out. It's too bad that I didn't realize that it was bleeding into the white of her body until too late. ;-; Ah well, still a cute pic. The legs are too small, but that was a common fault for me back then.

Rya A profile of Ryama looking at a flower, done pretty much exclusively for her lookup circle. I was having problems with the nose and forehead for the longest time. I think I finally managed to fix them in PhotoDeluxe, though.

Maani, Blinky Heehee, Maani's being silly and balancing Blinky on his halo. I'm not really too enthusiastic about Maani... I've drawn him better than this before... but the shading on Blinky turned out really well. ^-^ Plus you have to admit the pose is cute.
